Green Olive Poppers

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 frozen puff pastry sheet, thawed
  • 60 small green olives
  • pepper, opt.

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Whisk together egg and 2 Tb. water. Cut puff pastry sheet into 15 (3/4") strips. Cut each strip into fourths. Brush 1 side of each pastry strip with egg mixture. Wrap 1 strip around 1 small green olive, pressing edges to seal. Repeat with remaining pastry and olives. Arrange, seam side down, on a lightly greased baking sheet; brush with egg mixture. Sprinkle with pepper, if desired. Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden.
