Chocolate Fudge Cupcakes with Chocolate Fudge Peanut Butter Frosting 1 Picture

Ingredients

  • 1 Box Devil's Food Cake Mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 Cup milk
  • 1/2 Cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (I stick) butter (melted and cooled)

Preparation

Step 1

Mix eggs, sour cream, milk and butter together. Add vanilla. Add cake mix and mix well. Put in cupcake liners. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness after 22 minutes.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Buttercream Frosting:

1/2 Cup (1 stick) butter - softened but not melted
1/2 Cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 Cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 Tablespoons milk
3 - 4 Cups Powdered Sugar (depending on how thick you want the frosting)

Mix all ingredients (except sugar) together. Slowly add sugar and beat until the consistency you want. I made mine thick so I could pipe onto the cupcakes.
