Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup chopped onion (in processor-really fine...almost liquid)
- 4 TBS. butter
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1/2 tsp. garlic
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1 8oz. cream cheese
- 2 cans tomato soup
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large can diced tomatoes (blend before you put in pan)

Preparation
Step 1
Saute onions in butter until soft and transparent. Add seasonings. Stir. Add cream cheese. Stir vigorously unitl cheese is melted down. Add soup, milk, and tomatoes. Heat through. Serve with dollop of sour cream and chives. (Also good with hard grated parmesan cheese on top)
