Ingredients
- 2 quarts water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 8 oz. pasta of choice
- 4 tablespoons butter {2oz}
- 3/4 cup fresh bread crumbs {4.5oz}
- 1 small onion, minced
- 1 tablespoon A-P Flour
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 cups milk {12 3/4}
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese {8oz}
- Lobster {opt}
Preparation
Step 1
In a 3 quart saucepan, boil water and add salt. Add pasta and cook until tender but firm, drain.
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease a 2 quart baking dish.
In a 1 quart saucepan over med-heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter {1oz}; add bread crumbs and toss to coat.
In a 2 quart saucepan over med-heat, melt remaining butter; add onion and cook until tender, 5 minutes. Blend in flour, mustard, pepper and 1 teaspoon salt. Stir in milk; cook, stirring, until thickened. Remove from heat; stir in cheese.
Place pasta in baking dish. Poor cheese mixture over pasta. Sprinkle crumb mix over top. Bake 20 minutes.
Add lobster and put under broiler to brown.
