Wonderful Whipped Cream

Step 1

Chilly Chocolate Cream
1 pint chilled whipping cream
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
½ cup cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla

Combine ingredients and beat together until cream holds its shape. Makes 4 cups.

Coffee Whipped Cream
1 T instant coffee powder dissolved in 1 T water
1 pint chilled whipping cream
¼ cup sifted powdered sugar

Combine ingredients and beat together until cream holds its shape. Makes 4 cups.

More of a Mocha Cream
1 cup whipping cream
1 tsp instant coffee powder
2 T hot chocolate powder
2 T sugar

Combine ingredients and beat until cream holds its shape. Makes 2 cups.

Lemon Drop Whipped Cream
1 cup whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla
3 T sugar
1 tsp grated lemon peel
¾ cup toasted coconut
2 T crushed candy lemon drops

Whip the cream until it holds its shape. While whipping, gradually add sugar and vanilla. Fold in the lemon peel, coconut and crushed lemon drops. Makes 2 ½ cups.

Other ideas: To every cup of whipping cream you use, beat in 3-4 T of powdered sugar. Then fluff in a teaspoon of grated lemon, lime or orange peel for a sunny taste of summer even in midwinter. There are many possibilities; flavor with vanilla, or liqueurs or almond or rum extract. Or a touch of your favorite jelly or preserves. Or a touch of sugar and cinnamon.
