Caramel Apple Dessert
From the crushed cookie crust to the sweetened cream cheese, pudding and caramel-topped apples, each layer of this dessert holds its own.
- 60 Nilla wafers
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 1 (8-ounces) cream cheese
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 1/4 cups milk
- 1 (8-ounces) cool whip
- 2 packages (3.4- ounces) instant vanilla pudding
- 1/2 cup caramel topping
- 1 each red and green apple chopped
- 1/4 cup peanuts chopped

Cooking time 140mins
Mix wafer crumbs and butter. Press into bottom of 9x13 pan.
Beat cream cheese, sugar and 1/4 Cup milk with mixer. Stir in 1 Cup cool whip, spread over the crust. Beat pudding with remaining milk (3 cups) with a whisk, about 2 minutes.
Stir in 1/4 cup of caramel. Spoon over cream cheese layer, top with remaining cool whip.
Refrigerate 5 hours. Top with chopped apples, nuts and remaining caramel just before serving.
