Brown Rice Pilaf

Brown Rice Pilaf 0 Picture


  • 1 t peanut oil
  • 1/2 small onion, minced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 T fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  • 1/2 jalapeno pepper, minced; no seeds
  • 1 cup brown rice, cooked
  • 1/4 C sliced almonds
  • 1/4 C sliced scallions

Step 1

Heat the oil in a nonstick saute pan over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, ginger and pepper and saute until the onion is translucent - about 3-5 min. Add the rice, almonds and scallions. Cook and stil 1-2 minutes longer. Serve with Spicy Pork Stir Fry
