Ingredients
- Crust:
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar (2 ounces)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- Filling:
- 1 can black beans, drained
- 1 can kidney beans, drained
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1/2 teaspon dried oregano leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Top with:
- 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar (2 ounces)
Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Spray pie plate with nonstick cooking spray. Mix flour, 1/2 cup cheese, baking powder and salt in medium bowl. Stir in milk and egg until blended. Spread over bottom and up side of pie plate. Prebake crust for 10 minutes and spread out some more.
Mix remaining ingredients except 1/2 cup cheese. Spoon over partially baked crust. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup cheese. Bake uncovered about 25 minutes or until edge is puffy and light brown. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
