Ingredients

  • 1/4

    C oil

  • 2

    T sugar

  • Dash Tabasco

  • 1/2

    t salt

  • 2

    T cider vinegar

  • Almonds

  • Fruit combo suggestions:

  • Strawberry/Kiwi

  • Mango/kiwi

  • Raspberry/kiwi

  • Raspberry/Peach

  • Nectarine/Blueberry

Directions

To carmelize almonds: In a heavy skillet combine 2 T sugar with 1/4 C blanched slivered almonds. Stir constantly over high heat until sugar melts, turns brown and collects on almonds. Watch carefully to avoid burning and reduce heat to medium high after a few minutes. Spread on wax paper. After almonds cool, remove and break into pieces. Arrange baby spinach on plate. Place strawberries and kiwi over all. Add red onion ringss, chopped celery, minced fresh parsley and almonds. Sprinkle with salad dressing.
