Red Wine Shallot Sauce for Steak

Ingredients

  • Penzeys Chicago Steak Seasoning (or salt and pepper)
  • 1 large shallot, minced
  • 3/4 cup dry red wine
  • 2 Tbls cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 Tsp olive oil

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oil in pan. Add shallot and cook over medium heat, until golden. Add wine. Bring to boil, reduce by half, about 7 mins. Whisk in butter, one piece at a time, to make glossy sauce. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve with steak.
