Ingredients
- 2 Cups Sifted Flour
- 1 tsp. Baking Soda
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
- 2 Cups Quick Cooking Oats
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar (firmly packed)
- 1 Cup Shortening
- 2 Eggs, beaten
- 1/3 Cup Milk
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- 1 Cup Seedless Raisins or chopped dates
- 3/4 Cup Nuts, walnuts or pecans, choppef
Preparation
Step 1
Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon; add oatmeal, sugar, brown sugar, shortening, eggs, milk and vanilla. Mix well. Add raisins or dates and nuts. Blend well. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls to ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for about 12 minutes or until brown. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
