Ingredients

  • 1

    tablespoon olive oil

  • 1

yellow onion, sliced into 1/4 inch thick rounds

  • 4

boneless pork loin chops about 5 ounces each

  • 1

    tablespoon onion and herbs seasoning

  • 1/2

    cup reduced sodium chicken broth

  • 4

    slices provolone cheese

Directions

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions and cook for 5 min., until soft and golden brown. Remove the onions from the pan. Season both sides of the pork chops with salt, freshly ground black pepper, and onion and herbs seasoning. At the chops to the same pan over medium-high heat and cook for 1 to 2 min. per side, until golden brown. Add the broth and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 3 min., until the chops are tender. Arrange cheese slices on top of the chops and cook for 30 seconds until the cheese melts. Transfer the chops to a serving platter and top with onions.
