  • 36

Ingredients

  • 2 Chicken Cutlets, flattened and cut into 3/4" pieces
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cube Frozen Chili Peppers
  • 2 Tbsp Oil
  • 2 tsp Teriyaki Sauce
  • 2 tsp Sherry
  • 2 tsp Corn Starch
  • 36 (3") Square Wonton Wrappers, defrosted
  • 1 Egg, slightly beaten
  • Oil for frying

Preparation

Step 1

In a small bowl, combine salt, brown sugar, garlic, chili pepper, oil, teriyaki sauce, sherry and corn starch. Mix well. Add the chicken and toss to coat with the mixture. Marinate in the refrigerator 2 hours or overnight.
Place one piece of chicken in the center of each wonton wrapper. Fold the bottom corner of the square up to the opposite side, forming a triangle. Brush the side corner with beaten egg. Bring the two side corners together and seal. Repeat with the remaining wonton wrappers.
Pour oil into a small saucepan, about 2" deep and heat over a medium flame to 350.
Place 8 wontons in the pot and fry turning over continuously, until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Transfer to a platter lined with paper towel to drain.
