Pizza Snake

Ingredients

  • 1 Tube (11 oz.) refrigerated crusty french loaf
  • 1 jar of pizza sauce
  • Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Any pizza toppings you prefer
  • 1 Egg, Beaten for each color
  • Assorted food coloring
  • Paintbrushes

Preparation

Step 1

Unroll the french loaf dough so that it is long and flat, using a rolling pin may help. Spread on top with pizza sauce, cheese, then pizza toppings of your choice to within 1 inch of edges. Roll up, jelly-roll style, pinch seems to seal. Place seem side down on a greased baking sheet and shape like an 'S'. Crack an egg in it's own bowl, beat. Add food coloring as desired. Paint the snake with the egg wash.
Cut a snake tongue out of one pepperoni, and insert it into the mouth.
Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. You can serve the remaining pizza sauce on the side for dipping if you like.
