Teriyaki Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 t. ground ginger
  • 1/4 t. garlic powder
  • 5 T. brown sugar
  • 1 - 2 T. honey or dark karo syrup
  • 2 T. cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup cold water

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients but the cornstarch and 1/4 cup water in a saucepan and begin heating.
Mix the cornstarch with cold water and stir to dissolve. Add to sauce in pan.
Heat until sauce begins to boil gently and thickens.
Add water if you think it is too thick.
