mom’s apple cake (aka apple dump cake)

Mix your batter and “dump” it into the pan for this simple and delicious cake!

Ingredients

• Author: Erin Table for Seven
• 1 box, yellow cake mix, plus ingredients
• 2- 21 oz cans, apple pie filling
• 1/2 cup ( 1 stick ) butter, melted
• 1/2 cup water

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13 baking dish.

Spread apples on the bottom of baking dish.
Mix cake mix according to package. Pour batter on top of apples.
Melt butter with water and pour on top of batter.
Bake for 50-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
