Ingredients

  • 12 strips maple bacon
  • 3/4 cup softened butter
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Cook the bacon on the stove until browned; break into bite-size pieces (not crumbles). Reserve 1 1/2 tbsp of bacon grease and mix in the butter and sugar, then add the eggs, vanilla, and remaining ingredients.

Form cookies.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 350 F or Big Green Egg.
