PORK - Asian pork tenderloin

Ingredients

  • Pork tenderloin
  • 2 T soya sauce
  • 2 T hoisin sauce
  • 1 T sherry
  • 1/4 t dry ginger or 1 t fresh ginger
  • 1 1/2 t brown sugar
  • 1 t garlic chopped
  • 1/2 t sesame oil

Step 1

If you are BBQing the tenderloin, butterfly the pork tenderloin by cutting 1/2 way through the length of the tenderloin. Spread it open so that it is twice as wide but half as thick.

In a large ziplock bag, combine all ingredients. Add the pork. Marinade at least 2 hours int eh fridge and no more than 12 hours.

Place the tenderloin on a rack in a pan and put 1 1/2 cups of water in the bottom of the pan.

Bake uncovered 375 degrees x 35 - 40 minutes until pork is cooked. Brush with marinade often during cooking.

if you wish to bbq, be sure to butterfly it so that it cooks quicker without becoming dry. Brush with marinade while cooking.

To serve, slice thinly. If you wish to serve with the marinade, it must be cooked by simmering at least 10 minutes.
