Scallop or Shrimp Stir Fry
Detailed method of stir fry based on saute times for the different ingredients.
This requires constant mixing during the cooking process.
Do not overfill wok, rather divide into 2 batches.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Bay Scallops or small Shrimp
- 2 peppers (any color, red, yellow, orange, green)
- 1 crookneck squash
- 1 zucchini squash
- 2 lg sweet onions (or 1 lg regular or red)
- 1 bunch asparagus
- 3 handfulls of bean sprouts
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (I use Soy Vey)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 Tbsp chopped ginger
- 1 Tbsp 3 spice powder

Step 1
Cut off bottom end of asparagus (about 1 1/4 in), discard.
Cut Mushroom, peppers, squash, onions and asparagus into bite sized pieces.
Mix 5 spice powder, soy sauce and sesame oil in a small bowl
Heat wok or large pan to med-high heat
Once wok is heated add vegetable oil.
Add mushrooms and peppers and start timer at 10 minutes.
At 8 minutes add squash
At 6 min add onions, asparagus, ginger, bean sprouts, salt and pepper and soy sauce, sesame oil mixture.
At 4 minutes add shrimp.
OR
At 2 minutes add scallops.
