Split Pea Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 cups dry split peas
  • 2 quarts water
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 4 slices Canadian Bacon, chopped
  • 2 Tbs Chicken bouillon granules, or 2 chicken bouillon cubes.
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp pepper

Preparation

Step 1

1. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker

2. Cover. Cook on low 6-8 hours.

For creamier soup, remove half of soup when done and puree. Stir back into rest of soup.
