Double Peppermint Bark
A great candy to give as a gift for Christmas!
- 1 12 oz. package white chocolate baking chips
- 1 t. pure peppermint extract
- 8-10 drops red food coloring
- 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
Microwave chips on high 1 1/2 to 2 minutes, or until almost melted. Add peppermint extract and stirr until chips are completely melted and mixtue is smooth.
Spread on foil-lined baking sheet to 1/4 inch thick. Add food coloring, drop by drop, over mixture. Using a wooden skewer, swirl the color through the bark. Sprinkle with crushed candies, pressing lightly into bark with spatula.
Refrigerate 10 minutes or until set. Break into irregular pieces to serve. Store in covered container at cool room temperatures.
