Happy Holidays Liver Spread from Lydia Griffith

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. chicken livers
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 8 mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 t. garlic powder
  • 1/8 t. salt
  • 1/8 t. pepper
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 4 T. butter

Preparation

Step 1

Saute bacon in butter for 5 minutes. Add all other ingredients, except wine. Saute 15 minutes (or until well done). Add wine and saute 15 additional minutes. Let cool, put in food processor and mix well. Serve chilled with crackers.
