Oven Baked Stew

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless beef chuck steak, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1/4 c all purpose flour
  • 1 1/3 c sliced carrots
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 envelope Lipton Onion Soup mix
  • 1/2 c dry red wine or water
  • 1 c sliced mushrooms
  • 1 pkg (8oz)egg noodles, cooked and drained

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 425. In 2 1/2 qt shallow casserole, toss beef with flour than bake uncovered 20 min, stirring once.

Reduce heat to 350 and stir in carrots, tomatoes, soup mix and wine.

Bake uncovered for 1 1/2 hours or until beef is tender. Stir in mushrooms and bake uncovered 10 min. Serve over hot noodles.
