Ingredients
- CAKE:
- 1 1/4 cups softened butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups mashed bananas
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 3 1/3 cups flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup toffee bits
- ICING:
- 1 2/3 cups softened butter
- 5 2/3 cups icing sugar
- 3 tbsp creamilk
- 1 1/2 tsp vanila
Preparation
Step 1
Grease 9" x 13" pan. Line wit parchment paper.
Beat butter with sugar till fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time beating well and scraping down sides of bowl after each. Beat in bananas and vanilla.
Whisk together dry ingredients.
Stir into butter mixture alternatively with buttermilk. Scrape into pan, smooth top.
Bake at 350 for 60 minutes.
Let cook 10 minutes and remove from pan. Cook on rack.
ICIING:
Mix all ingredients well.
Cut cake in 1/2. Ice with 1/2 cups icing. Top with toffee bits. Put on top layer and frost remainder of cake.
