Chocolate Glazed Donuts

These easy Chocolate Glazed Donuts are baked not fried and then drizzled with a delicious sweet glaze. They're the perfect treat this weekend for your family.

Ingredients

  • Donuts:
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 6 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • Glaze:
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 6 tablespoons whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and baking soda together in a bowl.

In another bowl, combine the egg, sour cream, milk and vegetable oil.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and combine.

Spoon into the donut pan and bake in a 375 degree preheated oven until a toothpick comes out clean; about 8 to 10 minutes.

Remove the donuts from the pan and allow to cool on a baking rack before drizzling the glaze on top.


Glaze:
Combine all the ingredients for the glaze in a mixing bowl.

Using a spoon, drizzle the glaze on top of the cooled donuts.
