Firecracker Hot Dogs

Display hot dogs in a pail with a Styrofoam square snuggly fit into bottom of pail, then decorate pail with red , white, and blue decorations

- 16 wooden skewers
- 16 hot dogs
- 16 pieces refrigerated breadstick dough from 2 (11 ounce) cans
- 16 thick slices Colby cheese 1/4 inch thick

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Insert skewers all the way through hot dogs, leaving about 1 1/2 inches exposed skewer at top. Take 1 piece of breadstick dough and carefully wrap it around hot dog until it reaches the top. Repeat with remaining hot dogs and dough. Place wrapped dogs on baking sheet. Bake according to the breadstick directions. While dogs are baking, use small star shaped cookie cutter to cut out cheese stars. Once hot dogs are done and cooled slightly, stick a cheese star through top of each skewer. Makes 16 hot dogs.
