Mushroom Orzo

  • 1/2 cup butter divide
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 cup uncooked orzo
  • 1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • garlic powder
  • s & p
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chop parsley



Step 1

Melt 1/2 the butter in skillet over med. heat. Stir in onions and cook until golden brown. Mix in orzo, mushrooms and remaining butter. Cook and stir 5 min. until butter melted and mushrooms tender.
Pour water and wine into the pan and bring to boil. reduce heat to low. Season with garlic powder s and p. Cook 7 - 8 minutes until orzo is al dente. Stir in cheese and parsley.
