Cheesey Moon Bread from Mrs. Nagel

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Pillsbury hot roll mix
  • 3/4 cup very warm water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 T. soft butter
  • 1 t. garlic powder
  • 1 t. basil
  • 1 t. oregano
  • 1 t. paprika
  • 1/2 c. parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped olives

Preparation

Step 1

Dissolve yeast from mix in warm water. Add egg, butter, seasonings, cheese, olives and flour from mix. Blend well. Cover and let rise 30 - 45 minutes (until double in bulk). Knead dough on floured surface until it is no longer sticky. Shape into ball. Press down on greased cookie sheet until it is about 2' thick. Cover and let rise until double. Bake at 350' 30 -40 minutes or until golden. Before baking you can glaze with 1 slightly beaten egg mixed with garlic powder and paprika. I also set in a hard boiled egg before I bake as a garnish.
