VANILLA CRISPS

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add vanilla and salt. Add eggs, beating well. Stir in flour; mix well. Drop from teaspoon 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. (Or, chill dough; shape into 1-inch balls.) Flatten with floured glass. Bake at 375deg for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove immediately and cool on rack. Makes 84.
