Roll Dough

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 pkg yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/2 cup scalded milk (120 to 130)
  • 1 egg

Preparation

Step 1

Mix 2 cups flour, sugar, butter, salt and yeast add water, milk and egg. Beat on low speed for 1 minute. Stir in enough flour to make a stiff dough, easy to handle. Knead for 5 minutes until elastic. Cover and raise in a greased bowl about 1 hour until doubled. Punch down. Form rolls brush with melted butter. Cover and rise until doubled about 30 minutes

Bake at 400 for 12 to 18 minutes
