- 4 eggs
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 pint half-and-half
- 1 (13 ounce) can evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Beat eggs at high speed of electric mixer until very thick (about 10 minutes). Lower speed to medium, and gradually beat in sugar. Stir in half-and-half, evaporated milk, vanilla and salt; mix well.
Pour mixture into freezer, add sufficient milk, freeze and let ripen 2 hours. Yield: 1 gallon.
