FAST FUDGE

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2/3 cup evaporated skim milk
  • 12 large marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • Few grains salt
  • 1 (6 ounce) package semisweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Combine first 5 ingredients in a large saucepan. Cook over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil, stirring constantly; boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add chocolate morsels to marshmallow mixture, stirring until melted. Add nuts and vanilla, stirring well. Spread evenly in a buttered 8-inch square pan. Cut into 1 inch squares when cool. Yield: about 5 dozen squares.
