Cream Cheese Frosting 1 Picture


  • 16 oz cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1 stick unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 2 to 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons freshly grated orange zest, optional
  • vanilla



Step 1

beat butter till light and fluffy

beat in cream cheese till smooth

add orange zest and vanilla

slowly add sugar until the desired sweetness is achieved

for different colors:

bright pink use beet juice
rose add concord grape jelly
green use green tea powder
yellow uue ground turmeric

try also adding sour cream for a tarter flavor and creaminess
