Ingredients
- 1 head medium red cabbage, shredded
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 5 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- pepper, to taste
- 3 apples, peeled and sliced thin
- 1/2 teaspoon caraway seed (optional)

Preparation
Step 1
1.
Saute chopped onion in butter.
2.
Add cabbage, sugar, vinegar, salt, pepper and apples.
Simmer 30 minutes.
3.
Add caraway seed, if desired.
Serve hot.
