Meatloaf-Dad's

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds of lean ground beef
  • 2/3 cup rolled oats or fine bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup of tomato sauce
  • 1/2 chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup of ketchup
  • 2 tbls brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together beef, rolled oats, tomato sauce, onion, salt and egg. Pack into a 9x5 loaf pan.
Bake at 350 F for about an hour or until juices run clear. Pour off any fat.

While the meatloaf is baking, combine ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce in a small saucepan or microwavable bowl. Heat until boiling. After meatloaf has baked for an hour, spoon sauce over top and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
