Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 12 oz bitter sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp almond extract
Preparation
Step 1
In a heavy bottomed saucepan over medium-high heat melt the butter and heavy cream together stirring constantly until it begins to bubble.
Add the chocolate chips, granulated sugar, brown sugar and salt. Stir until the chocolate has completely melted. Lower the heat to simmer stirring gently for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the almond extract.
Allow to cool slightly. Use immediately or store chilled in a tightly sealed jar for up to 2 weeks.
