Strawberry Flip Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 C melted butter
- 1 C sugar
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1/3 C seedless strawberry jam
- 1 t strawberry extract (or vanilla)
- 1 t baking powder
- 1/2 t soda
- 1/2 t salt
- 1 1/2 C chopped walnuts
- 3 C flour
- small bowl powdered sugar
- 1 bag frozen strawberries

Preparation
Step 1
Mix butter and sugar. Add eggs and jam. Add the rest. Roll dough balls to size of walnuts. If dough is sticky, refrigerate for 1/2 hour. Roll in powdered sugar. Place on greased cookie sheet. Make a deep thumb print on each cookie.
While berries are still partially prozen, cut in half. Place skin side up in the thumb print.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes. Cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes then transfer to rack. Dust with powdered sugar.
