Ingredients

  • 15.5 oz. can chick peas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 2 T lemon juice
  • 2 T tahini
  • 1 T dried parsley
  • 3/4 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 roasted red pepper
  • 1 tsp EV olive oil
  • 1 tsp sour cream

Preparation

Step 1

In food processor pulse first 10 ingredients for 1 min or until finely chopped. Then add roasted red pepper and sour cream. Add oil while running. Puree only until you can still see fine chunks of red pepper. Can reserve some chick pea liquid instead of using oil.

Refrigerate and serve with fresh vegetables and pita bread pieces.
