Ham Pate en Croute

Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb. softened butter
  • 2 C ground cooked ham
  • 1 T grated onion
  • 1 crushed clove garlic
  • 3 T heavy cream
  • 2 t strong mustard
  • 1 t dry mustard
  • 2 T chopped parsley
  • 2 T chopped chives
  • 2 t Worchestershire sauce
  • 1 loaf french bread, @ 8x3"

Preparation

Step 1

In large bowl, cream butter until light & fluffy. Then beat in ham, a little at a time. Add remaining ingredients, except bread. Refrigerate until mixture is firm enough to spread.
Slice off ends of bread. Remove insides of bread, leaving @ 1/4" thick crust. Stand bread on end; with spoon, gently push ham mixture into hollow, filling completely. refrigerate wrapped in foil several hours.
To serve, cut into 1/4" slices Makes @ 30 appetizers
