Spiced Pot Roast

Ingredients

  • 1/3 C flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 boneless beef rump or chuck roast (3LBS)
  • 2 TBL vegie oil
  • 1-1/2 C beef broth
  • 1/2 C chutney
  • 1/2 C raisins
  • 1/2 C chopped onion
  • 1-1/2 tsp curry powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp grd ginger

Preparation

Step 1

combine flour, S & P
rub over entire roast
in dutch oven, brown roast in oil on all sides
combine remaining ingredients
pour over roast

cover & bake @ 325 for 3 hrs or until meat is tender
thicken gravy if desired
