Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. chocolate cake mix
  • 1 pkg. (10 oz.) peanut butter chips
  • 4 1/4 cups milk, divided
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 pkg. (5.9 oz.) instant chocolate pudding
  • 1 carton thawed cool whip
  • 4 nestle crunch candy bars, crumbled

Step 1

Prepare cake according to package directions and pour into a 9" x 13" pan and bake.

In a sauce pan, combine chips, 1/4 cup milk, and whipping cream. Heat over low heat and stir until chips are melted. Stir in vanilla. Cool to room temperature.

Place the remaining milk in a mixing bowl; beat in pudding mixes on low speed for 2 minutes. It will thicken as it sits.

Cut the cooled cake into bite size pieces.

To assemble: Put half of the cake pieces into a trifle or large bowl, layer it with 1/2 of the peanut butter sauce, 1/2 of the pudding, 1/2 of the cool whip, and 1/2 of the candy bars. Repeat the layers.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
