    lbs. Ground Beef, very lean (not hamburger)

  • Onions

  • Potatoes, sliced

  • 1

    Large Can Pork and Beans

  • American Cheese

  • 2

    Cans Cream of Chicken or Cream of Mushroom Soup

  • Seasoning, to taste


Using a 9 x 13" casserole dish, cover the bottom with the uncooked ground beef. Then add a layer of sliced onions, sliced potatoes (potatoes should be precooked for about 5 minutes). Add salt and pepper to taste. Cover these ingredients with pork and beans. Top with a layer of American Cheese and pour the soup over all. Bake for 1/2 hour at 450 degrees. Reduce heat to 425 degrees and bake for one additional hour or until nicely browned. Serves 10-15 people. Serve with a tossed salad.
