Ingredients
- 1/2 seedless watermelon, cut into cubes
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- 1/4-1/3 cup sugar, or to taste (we use less sugar with really sweet watermelons)
Preparation
Step 1
In two batches, combine watermelon, lemon and lime juice, and sugar in a blender and blend until smooth.
Once smooth, pour mixture into a large baking dish.
Note: if you can’t find a seedless watermelon, you can use a regular one - just strain it before pouring it into baking dish.
Transfer baking dish to freezer and let chill for 2 hours.
Remove watermelon mix from freezer and use a fork or spoon to scrape the top, frozen layer of ice. (Edges will be harder than center.)
Return dish to freezer and let chill another 2-3 hours.
Repeat scraping process and return to freezer until the whole mixture is shaved.
Serve immediately, or cover and store in freezer.
