Ingredients
- 2 cups Butter
- 16 oz Cream Cheese
- 4 cups Flour
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 cup Chopped Almonds
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
Preparation
Step 1
Mix together butter, cream cheese, flour and salt until smooth. Form into 6 discs and refrigerate for a few hours (can freeze until chilled).
Preheat oven to 350.
Combine almonds, sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
Flour working surface very well. Roll the dough into a large circle with 1/4" thickness.
Sprinkle dough with sugar mixture, and using a pizza cutter cut into 16 sections.
Roll each piece starting from the outer edge going into the center, and place on a paper lined baking sheet.
Bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown (the more golden, the flakier and sweeter the rugelach will be).
