Ingredients
- 2 c. butter
- 2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 (7") purchased angel food cake, cut into 1" cubes
- 4 c. finely chopped pecans
Preparation
Step 1
In a large saucepan, combine butter and sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil and cook until syrup reaches soft ball stage (234-240 degrees); remove from heat. Using tongs, dip cake cubes in syrup; roll in pecans. Place on waxed paper to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
