Ingredients
- 1/2 c. diced onion
- 1/2 c. finely diced carrots
- 1/2 c. finely diced celery
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/3 c. flour
- 3 Tb. cornstarch
- 1 qt. chicken stock
- 1 qt. milk
- 1 lb. grated Velveeta cheese
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 2 Tb. parsley flakes
Preparation
Step 1
Saute onions, carrots, and celery in butter until soft. Add mixed flour and cornstarch. Cook until bubbly. Add chicken stock and milk gradually. Add grated cheese. Just before serving, add soda and parsley. Salt and pepper to taste.
