Ingredients
- 2 lbs. unpeeled, raw shrimp, (21/26 count)
- 2 Tb. butter
- 1/2 sweet onion, diced
- 1 Tb. chopped fresh basil, (or 1 tsp. dried)
- 1 Tb. chopped fresh oregano, (or 1 tsp. dried)
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
Preparation
Step 1
1. Peel shrimp; devein, if desired.
2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat; add onion and next 5 ingredients, and saute 5 minutes or until onion is tender. Stir in garlic, and saute 1 minute. Stir in shrimp, and cook, stirring occasionally, 6 minutes or just until shrimp turn pink. Remove and discard bay leaf.
