Cheddar cheese straws

A fun treat to make, goes along with almost any dish. A sure fire kid favorite!

Ingredients
- 16 oz block of sharp cheddar cheese at room temperature
- 1 1/2 c flour
- 1/4 c softened butter
- 1/4 c butter softened
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ground red pepper
- 1/8 tsp dry mustard
Preparation
Step 1
1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor 30 seconds or until mixture forms a ball.
2. Preheat oven to 375'. Fit a cookie press with a bar-shaped disk. Fill press with dough.
3. Press long strands of cheese straws the length of an ungreased cookie sheet. Cut ribbons crosswise with aknife to make individual straws.
4. Bake at 375' for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Transfer to wire racks to cool.
