  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 . c. dark Karo
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Mix and bring to boil over medium heat. Boil slowly 4 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat; add 1 can sweetened condensed milk. Place on burner on medium heat, stirring constantly, until reaches soft boil stage (238 degrees) this usually takes about 15 minutes depending on your heat settings. Remove from heat; add 1 tsp. vanilla. Pour into pan, cool and cut into squares. Wrap in wax paper or saran wrap. Enjoy!

You can substitute regular corn syrup for dark Karo if you use brown sugar instead of white.
