Ingredients

  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 small onion- chopped
  • 3/4 box (1#) Penne (Rigata) noodles- cooked
  • 1 container fresh mushrooms- sliced
  • 2 jars spaghetti sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package pepperoni slices

Step 1

Brown sausage, add onions and mushrooms at appropriate time to be done with sausage. Drain and layer mixture on bottom of 9x13 pan. Add cooked noodles over sausage. Mix with 1-1½ jar of spaghetti sauce. Layer pepperoni slices on top. Pour remaining sauce on top. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for about 1-1½ hours. Uncover foil and sprinkle cheese on top. Bake for additional 15-20 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Serve with cheesy pesto or garlic bread.
